Death Notice: Mrs. Mary E. Jones

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Randolph) Jones, who passed away at Chestnut Hill Hospital on Wednesday February 16, 2011, at the age of 92. 

Rev. Jones served the following appointments beginning in 1939: West Texas Conference – Attending school; Delaware Conference – Attending school, Woodbury, NJ, Delair, NJ, Fordville, NJ, Siloam in Chester, Waugh in Cambridge, MD, and Haven in Philadelphia; Philadelphia Conference – Philadelphia: Haven.  He diedin 1967.

The funeral will be Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11am at Advocate St. Stephens UMC, 5213 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA.  A viewing will be held prior to the funeral, from 9am-11am. The burial will be at Ivy Hill Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, she is also predeceased by her son Rev Randolph Jones (former pastor of Trinity Bayton United Methodist Church). She is survived by her children Caroll Jones, Iris (Abram) Elijah, Francis R. Jones, all of Philadelphia, and Marcus (Regina) Jones of St. Louis, Missouri, 13 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
