Death Notice: Mrs. Lucille L. Strickler

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Lucille L. Strickler, 80, widow of the Rev. A. Philip Strickler, on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Lucille was a member of Ono United Methodist Church.

Rev. Strickler served the following appointments beginning in 1943: Jonestown Circuit; Conference Evangelist; Lebanon: Ebenezer; Spring Valley, Evangelist, and Los Angeles: Grace (in California-Pacific); Ono; and Ono/Shirks.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, at Ono United Methodist Church, 9 Main St., Ono, PA.  Family and friends may call at 1:00 pm for a time of visitation, followed by the service at 2:00 pm. 

She is survived by their children: Elaine Funck, Carolyn Meyer, Calvin and Eugene Strickler.
