Word has been received of the death of Henry Burden on Sunday, February 28, 2010. He was a Retired Local Pastor of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Rev. Burden served as pastor at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lehighton; Salem United Methodist Church, Zionsville, Lehigh County; and Salem United Methodist Church, Slatedale, Lehigh County, until his retirement. At the time of his death, he was a visitation pastor at First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Salem-Berne United Methodist Church, 292 Salem Church Road, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held in the church from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Salem-Berne UB Cemetery, Tilden Township.
He is survived by his wife, Maria M. Burden, four sons and four daughters (another daughter pre-deceased him).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be sent to Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., 65 S. Fourth St., Hamburg, PA 19562 to help with final expenses.
