Death Notice: Rev. Harold E. Basehore

Word has been received of the death of the Rev. Harold Basehore, who passed away on January 19, 2011.  

Rev. Basehore served the following appointments beginning in 1950.: Indiana: Bobo (N. Indiana Conference); Churchtown; Morgantown; and Cornwall.  He retired in 1990.  He served Lebanon: St. John’s in retirement.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Ruffner Porterfield Funeral Home, 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon, PA.   A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Cornwall UMC, 50 Freeman Drive, Lebanon, PA, at 10:00 a.m.  The burial will be at 12:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  

He is survived by his wife, Florence, and children, Lynette and Gary.  He was preceded in death by his son Harold in 1969.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Good Samaritan Hospital, 209 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042.
