Rev. Farai David Muzorewa
Word has been received of the death of The Rev. Farai David Muzorewa, pastor of Somerton UMC, on the evening of Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
Rev. Muzorewa served the following appointments: Wesley in Reading and Fritz in Bethlehem. He retired in 2004, and served Eddystone; First in Mahanoy City; and Somerton.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 3 at Somerton United Methodist Church. The remains will be shipped to Zimbabwe, where there will be another celebration at the Muzorewa Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Angelina Tsi Tsi Muzorewa, one daughter and three sons: Tapina David, Sarudzai Esther Anesu Daniel, Taremedzwa Joseph. He is also survived by his brother, Bishop Abel T. Muzorewa, and his brother, Rev.Dr.Gwinyai Muzorewa, pastor of New London UMC in the southeast District, who is a professor at the Lincoln University.
