Mrs. Eleanor Weiser

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Eleanor (Mazurek) Weiser, 67, wife of the late James M. Weiser, of Upper Providence, who passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Clara (Mirecki) Mazurek.

Mrs. Weiser was a 1960 graduate of Neshaminy High School and received an Associate's Degree from Ursinus College.  She was employed in the Pensions and Health Benefits office of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Conference Office.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church for nearly 35 years.  Her acts of service included church maintenance, teaching Sunday school, and committee involvement in finance, building campaign, and missions.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, walking, cooking, crosswords, and frequent excursions to Lancaster County.  She especially loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, instilling in them her love of learning and laughter.

Mrs. Weiser is survived by two daughters, Joy M., wife of Peter Welsh, of Wayne and Dawn N., wife of Paul Zvarik, of Upper Providence, and six grandchildren, Joshua, Kathryn, Ethan, and Kyle Welsh and Olivia and Gabriel Zvarik.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at 3:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 865 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.  Officiating will be the Rev. Amy C.
