Death Notice: Rev. David L. Burkhart

Word has been received of the death of The Rev. David L. Burkhart, 71, on August 9, 2010, at 9:45 a.m.

Before going on honorable location in 1978, he served congregations in Easton, Perkasie, Stroudsburg, Harmony, St. Paul's and Kleinfeltersville.

A Memorial service will be held at the Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Saturday, August 14 at 11 a.m. A viewing will be Friday, August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 18.  He is also survived by two daughters, Suzanne Myers and Sandra Buchalter, and three grandchildren.
