Weekly Worship Attendance

ONLY HIGH POTENTIAL CHURCH PARTICIPANTS!

Beginning in October, each congregation is asked to input the monthly information about Professions of Faith, Average Worship Attendance, Number of Small Groups and Average Attendance/Participation in Sunday School for the previous month. This information will be compiled and shared each quarter with the Council of Bishops and the Congregational Transformation Team.

Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World is our mission. Towards that end, each congregation in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference is challenged to increase worship attendance by at least 10% so that more people can be invited into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Numerous congregations are reporting a 10% percent increase in worship attendance already. One congregation has reported a 50% increase in worship attendance. Praise God! God's Spirit is moving in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference.

This information will enable us to more accurately assess our mission and ministry and identify resourcing needs and opportunities.

* Composed of groups of 8-10 people, small groups provide opportunities for bible study, prayer, fellowship and service. Small groups can be a Women's scrapbooking group, Sprouts, Men's Group, etc, or Accountable Discipleship, Covenant Discipleship Group, etc.

*Professions of Faith - "When persons unite as professing members with a local United Methodist church, they profess their faith in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; in Jesus Christ, his only Son, and in the Holy Spirit..."Paragraph 217.

Please submit the requested information by the 5th of the month for the previous month.
