Board of Lay Ministry Membership
Membership: 24 members (5) Clergy members (19) Lay
Consisting of UMW, UMM, Youth, Older Adults, District representatives, Christ Servant Ministry, Laity Academy Dean, District Lay Leaders and Associates.
Dean of Laity Academy:
Brenda Tildon is the Dean of the Academy. The Laity Academy is usually held the first weekend in August. This is an opportunity for laity to grow in leadership, evangelism, worship and prayer. For more information, contact Brenda Tildon, brendatildon@aol.com.
Christ Servant Ministry:
George Hollich is the director of the Christ Servant Ministry program. We have over 1200 trained certified Christ Servant Ministries in our conference. Courses are offer in different location over the conference by trained leaders. Christ Servant Ministry website

Wellness Ministry:
Kathy Gilligan serves as the chair of the Wellness Ministry program. Her contact information: 359 Marilyn Road, Warminster, Pa. 18974, 267-574-1637 with representatives from each of the districts. The definition of Wellness Ministry is a purposeful ministry that helps individuals, families, groups, congregations, and communities focus on holistic health and wellness, as well as disease and injury prevention. It is a ministry which works to enhance the well being of all members of the congregation and the community by demonstrating and teaching healthy lifestyles, as well as promoting wellness safety.
Tools for Ministry:
The Board of Laity sponsors this conference-wide training event to enhance leadership skills, understanding of the connectional system, to work with other groups, congregations and the community. This program allows every district to train laity and clergy at the same time.
The Board of Laity meets three times a year in October, January and April. Monthly meetings are held with the district lay leaders.
