Youth sign "I love camp" at a camp for young Deaf people at Camp Pecometh. This camp was sponsored by Philadelphia Area Deaf Ministry.
Deaf Ministry is starting to grow in the Philadelphia Area of the United Methodist Church. Please contact Carol Stevens, the Deaf Ministries Area coordinator for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org or 443-794-6499.
Speakers and workshops are available to churches for Deaf Ministry Awareness programs and for Sunday services for the Area.
In Eastern PA Conference, Deaf ministry is a member of the Disability Concerns Committee.
In Peninsula-Delaware Conference there is a separate Deaf Ministries committee.

Deaf Kids Camp at Camp Pecometh, Centreville, MD for middle and high school Deaf students. Residential Camp from Sun., July 25 to Fri., July 30, 2010. Cost $199. Camperships available.
Camp for Deaf Adults with Developmental Disabilites. Camp Innabah, Spring City, PA. Residential Camp from Sun., July 11 to Sat., July 17, 2010. Cost $415. Camperships available.

Wilmington District Deaf Outreach, Karen Miller at email@example.com. Karen provides a variety of outreach services to the Deaf community in the Wilmington area. Her ministry is partly sponsored by Grace Church (UMC) in Wilmington and by Connection Community Church (UMC) in Middletown where there is a monthly Deaf taught Bible study in American Sign Language and a monthly Deaf fellowship evening.
