This training has come out of requests from a number of clergy women to deal with the unique sexual ethics challenges they face in ministry. From inappropriate comments about the pastor’s pregnancy, to how to deal with the daily assumptions about how parishioners and female clergy interact, to relationships with colleagues, we will talk together to share individual learnings and best practices. Rev. Sharon Vandergrift, UM Elder and certified life coach, will lead us in exploration of internal thought processes and external communication strategies which can lead to whole clergywomen doing whole ministry in our local churches and Conference. This is not a gripe session, but an honest look at real issues with an eye to learning effective methods of thinking and responding which release solid ministry.
