Annual Conference Offerings

Members of Annual Conference are invited to bring their own and their church’s offerings to Annual Conference.  The offerings will be:

Memorial Service: Project Tariro. Based at Old Mutare, the oldest mission station of the United Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, Project Tariro is a respite center for persons living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. ‘Tariro’ means ‘hope’ in the Shona language, spoken by the majority of Zimbabweans.
Service of Ordination: Scholarships for Higher Education.  The conference annually awards scholarships to undergraduates and seminary students from the annual conference offering.
Hope and Healing Service: Imagine No Malaria.  Imagine No Malaria is the United Methodist Denomination’s effort to eradicate malaria through training, education, and distribution of bed nets.

Prayer Walk starts Annual Conference

PRAYER WALK ON THURSDAY, MAY 16 AT 8:00 AM:
The Eastern Pennsylvania Renewal Fellowship (EPRF) invites you to join them in a prayer walk, prior to Annual Conference.    EPRF is a regional fellowship group of Aldersgate Renewal Ministries (ARM) which is based near Nashville, Tennessee and was affiliated with The Upper Room.  EPRF is affiliated with ARM. EPRF believes that it is important to ask God’s Spirit to be present during Annual Conference so that all will be guided by His will and purpose as we make decisions that will impact our conference and our denomination.  Whether or not you plan to join in this prayer walk, it is important that all of us pray that God’s Spirit would be present during our times of gathering.  It should be our desire that God’s plan and purpose for our Conference will be evident throughout the entire time of this gathering.  And it should be our prayer that we would be obedient to responding to what God desires for our Conference and The United Methodist Church.

If you would like to join us, we will be meeting at 8:00 AM on Thursday, May 16 in the lobby by the roped-off area.  We will begin gathering at 7:45 AM and begin our time of walking and praying at 8:00 AM.

If you would like additional information regarding this prayer walk, please contact Rev. Maryanne Ditter at 215-962-2769 (cell  or at mbditter@verizon.net
