2015 Annual Conference Registration and Overview

Electronic voting devices will be used this year for all voting.  The devices will be assigned to every eligible voting member and must be turned in to the annual conference registration desk at the end of annual conference. Any member that loses or does not turn in their assigned voting device will be charged a $75.00 replacement fee. Provisions will be made for those churches with lay members attending on different days. Please note:  you must remember to bring your device each day.

Training will be presented at the pre-conference meetings, clergy and laity sessions, and at annual conference.

Clergy and Laity Sessions will be at the Expo Center on Thursday morning, May 14, 10:00 a.m. – noon

On both Friday and Saturday mornings, May 15-16, at 7:30 a.m., join Order of St. Luke members for a brief devotion and communion prior to Holy Conferencing.

A preliminary agenda will be distributed prior to annual conference.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

  • Clergy, Lay and Equalizing Delegates are encouraged to register on-line.
  • The deadline to register is April 27, 2015. Registrations received after April 27, 2015 will be      considered walk-ins with no guaranteed meals
  • If you mail your registration (with payment), it must be postmarked by April 27, 2015.
  • Contact Gloria Knoeller at 800-828-9093 ext. 7002, or gknoeller@epaumc.org with questions      regarding registration.

EXHIBIT TABLES AVAILABLE ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS

  • Please contact Lori Henning at (610) 544-1400 or email exhibitcoordinator@epaumc.org. The Annual Conference Office will not be taking any reservations for display tables.
  • Vendor reservations for display tables must be submitted and payment received at the time of submission.
  • Table reservations are mandatory – we will not be able to accommodate you without a reservation.
  • When filling out the registration form, PLEASE NOTE:
    • ​Affiliated Organizations include Official UMC Seminaries, Ministries of Local Churches, Conference Agencies, Organizations listed in the Conference Journal, and Agencies of the General Church.
    • Non-Affiliated Organizations are non-UMC Seminaries, Ministries of non-UM churches, any For-Profit Businesses, and any other group that does not fit into the Affiliated category above.

2015 Annual Conference MEDIA SPECIFICATIONS

Thank you for your anticipated presentation at the 2015 Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference. So that we can successfully meet your media and other presentation needs we have developed some tools and guidelines for you.

The sooner we receive your media materials, the better. Your media submission will be reviewed to ensure that the appropriate file formats have been submitted, that files are not corrupt and that all necessary scripts, etc. are included.

 

Media Requirements:

 

 

PowerPoint (PPT)

  • must use the template provided.
 NOTE: This template is specifically formatted to allow space for Closed-Captioning. Do not place any text below the white line. Do not alter the aspect ratio (presentation must be in widescreen / 16x9 ratio).
  • must not include embedded audio, video or timings
  • must be submitted along with a script detailing when slides are to be progressed during the presentation, when videos are to be played, etc.

Video

  • it is preferable if your video is in widescreen (16x9 ratio)
  • must be in one the following formats: playable DVD, QuickTime (.mov), or (.mp4)
  • must be submitted along with a script detailing when video is to be played (e.g. before presentation, during presentation, after presentation, on particular slide, etc.)
