Welcome! The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church is made up of about 465 churches, which serve nearly 125,000 members in 16 counties. Led by Bishop Peggy A. Johnson, the Conference’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Today, this mission is the focus of the conference’s 465 churches, congregations which speak to diverse and multi-generational populations in the many cities, towns, and rural areas throughout our area. The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and its sister Peninsula/Delaware Conference together compose the Philadelphia Area, with nearly 1,000 churches served by Bishop Peggy Johnson.
The Eastern PA Conference’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Today, this mission is the focus of the conference’s 463 churches, congregations which speak to diverse and multi-generational populations in the many cities, towns, and rural areas throughout our area.These congregations seek to call persons to new life in Christ, nurture persons to be disciples of Jesus Christ, and address the needs in our communities as well as throughout the world through mission and ministry and by advocating for justice.
Bishop Peggy A. Johnson is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and serves as the episcopal leader of the Philadelphia Area of the United Methodist Church, which includes the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference and the Peninsula-Delaware Annual Conference. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lebanon Valley College, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary. Prior to her election to the episcopacy in 2008 she served as a pastor in the Baltimore-Washington Conference since 1980. Read more

The Eastern Pennsylvania United Methodist Conference Center, at 980 Madison Avenue, Norristown, PA 19403, is a 10,000 square-foot, single level building that serves as headquarters for the organization of churches, clergy and lay members who together compose the United Methodist Church in the Southeastern PA region. It is located at the intersection of Madison and Monroe avenues, just off of Trooper Road (SR 363), near the Trooper Road exit on PA Highway 422. We are south of Egypt Road and near Audubon Square Shopping Center in Eagleville. Read more
