Financial Support is also available from the Board of Ordained Ministry for college and seminary students who have been approved for ministry by an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference congregation, a District Committee on Ordained Ministry, or the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. Conference Education Society Student Loans
The Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference Education Society can provide loans to students pursuing higher education who are members of the churches of our Annual Conference.
The maximum yearly amount loaned to any borrower shall not be less than $1,000 nor more than $2,000 in any one year and the total amount loaned to any one person shall not exceed $8,000.
The Conference Education Society Board will determine the total amount that will be available for loans during the oncoming school year. The present interest rate is 3%. Principle and interest shall be repaid on a monthly basis beginning four months following graduation or after leaving school for a period exceeding one-half of a school year. The borrower as the option, without penalty, to repay all or any part of the principal plus the accrued interest at any time.
